: Windows Source Code Orientation for On-Site Source Licensees

A guided tour to using the Windows source code for Reference and Research Source Licensees.

Level

Intermediate

Audience

Windows Reference and Research source code licensees.

Description

This seminar helps you get started using the Windows source at your site. We provide complete details for installing, indexing, and, for research licensees, building the source kit. We then give you a "guided tour" through the gigabytes of source code, focusing on the structure of the most commonly examined areas, and show you how to use the powerful search utility to find other components. We also show you how to use the debugger with the Windows source files.

If you hold a "research" license, we will also work through several source modification scenarios.

Licensing
These seminars are usually arranged through your Microsoft Shared Source representative, and of course are only available to Microsoft Windows Shared Source program participants.
What's Different?
This seminar differs from WSC150 and WSC250 in that it is designed for licensees with on-site access to source, as opposed to access via Code Center Premium.
